Etisalat, one of the leading telecommunications companies in the UAE, offers its customers a unique service called Reserve Credit. This service allows Etisalat customers to borrow credit when they run out of their main balance, providing them with a safety net in case of emergencies.

Reserve Credit is a convenient and hassle-free way for customers to stay connected even when they don’t have enough balance in their account. They can borrow mobile credit of up to AED 50 whenever you run out of credit, and use this to make voice calls, SMSs (local and international), or buy a Non-stop Silver data plan

Reserve Credit Eligibility:

    • You must be a prepaid user for at least 3 months.
    • You need to have a minimum monthly usage of AED 10.

 

Activation OF Etisalat Reserve Credit

  • Eligible users receive an SMS notification with instructions to subscribe by dialing 1081#. Once subscribed, the service will automatically renew whenever your balance reaches AED 1.

 

  • Usage: Reserve Credit can be used for:

    • Voice calls
    • SMS (local and international)
    • Non-stop Silver data plan
    • Select mobile content services (with an additional 20% service fee)
    • Wasel Prepaid customers with single account SIM can subscribe to data packs, use Play on Demand and Start Stop Data services.

Important Notes:

  • You’ll be notified via SMS when your reserve credit is activated and when the borrowed amount is deducted from your next recharge.
  • There are no charges to subscribe to the Reserve Credit service, but you will be charged for the borrowed amount itself.
  • To unsubscribe from the service, dial 1082#.

Credit Transfer:

This is a service that lets you transfer credit from one Etisalat prepaid or postpaid mobile number to another prepaid number within the UAE.

How to transfer credit

There are two ways to transfer credit:

    • Using your phone keypad:
      1. Dial 100 [recipient’s mobile number] * [transfer amount] #. (e.g., 1000561234567*15#)
      2. Confirm the transaction when prompted.
    • Using the My Etisalat App:
      1. Log in to the My Etisalat app.
      2. Navigate to the “Transfer Credit” or “Send Credit” section.

Important Notes

  • Outstanding Balance: If you have any outstanding Reserve Credit borrowed previously, it will still be deducted from your balance when you next recharge.
