President Donald Trump in his final hours in office has granted clemency to rappers Lil Wayne, former Mayor of Detroit Kwame Kilpatrick and Kodak Black.
According to official report,Trump issued 73 pardons and commuted the sentences of 70 additional individuals with Lil Wayne and Kodak Black on the list.
Kwame Kilpatrick was convicted on federal racketeering and other charges while holding office in Detroit. Kilpatrick has served around seven years in prison.
Trump also grant clemency to ex-Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich who was convicted of essentially trying to sell Barack Obama’s Senate seat as well as disgraced financier Michael Milken (pleaded guilty to securities fraud and conspiracy)
Wayne, whose real name is Dwayne Carter, pleaded guilty on a federal weapons charge last year and received a full pardon. Kodak Black, whose real name is Bill Kapri, received a commutation after being charged in 2019 with falsifying information on federal forms to buy firearms and he was sentenced to 46 months in prison on federal weapons charges in 2019.

Elliott Broidy, who was also grant pardon after he plead guilty to conspiracy in connection with lobbying the Trump administration.
