The Argentine and Atletico Madrid manager, Diego Simeone has been honor by the International Federation of Football History and Statistics (IFFHS) as the Coach of the Decade.
Simeone has won La Liga, the Copa del Rey, the Spanish Super Cup, the Europa League (x2) and the UEFA Super Cup (x2) during his time in charge of Atletico.
The 50-year-old has come out on top against the likes of Guardiola, Mourinho and his main rival Zinedine Zidane, despite having just one league title to show for his time at Atletico so far.
Simeone (152 points) pipped Pep Guardiola (144 points) to the award, with Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp third on 105 points.
The overall result was determined by every manager’s ranking each year between 2011 and 2020, with points assigned based on their yearly finishes.
