Cristiano Ronaldo becomes top goalscorer in football history

The juventus  forward,Cristiano Ronaldo has become the top goal-scorer in history of football, after netting 760th of his career

The 35-year-old five-time Ballon d’Or winner reached the stunning landmark after scoring the first goal for Juventus in their 2 – 0 win against Napoli to win the Italian Super Cup on Wednesday night. It was his 1,040 games as a professional footballer.

Ronaldo moves past Josef Bican’s previous high-water mark of 759 official career goals to sit atop the all-time list.

His most prolific scoring year came in 2013 when he found the back of the net 69 times, but he also recorded 34 in 2007, 35 in 2008, 30 in 2009, 48 in 2010, 60 in 2011, 63 in 2012, 61 in 2014, 57 in 2015, 55 in 2016 and 53 in 2017.

The vast majority of those 760 tallies came for Real Madrid, for whom Ronaldo put up 450 goals

He added 118 during his time wearing the Manchester United shirt, another 102 for his national team, five for his first club, Sporting CP, and 85 with his current side, Juventus.
