The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) has directed all telecommunications operators In the country to block all sim card not paired with NIN Number by December 30th 2020.
Citizens of Nigeria who are telecoms subscribers are here by mandate to link their NIN with their SIM Registration details.

How to get another NIN Slip when you misplace it
To get your slip, kindly visit any bank around you, pay a token of N500 through REMITA at any bank nearest to you; provide your Remita Teller to any NIMC Enrolment Centre (ERC) near you and request for a NIN slip print.
How to Viewing your NIN Number
You can confirm your NIN number through the following;
Your NIN Slip. It has your 11 Digit number at the top left corner, on the second row.
Dial *346# and press 1, please note that you will be charged 20 naira for checking.
MTN customers has two means to Link NIN to Sim Card either on their website or make use of ussd code method.
Even if you have more than one phone number, you can link them by dialing *785# using the phone number you wish to link, enter your NIN, and submit.
Alternatively, you could dial *785*Your NIN# from the phone number you wish to link. The number will be linked to your NIN automatically. You can also visit https://mtnonline.com/nin/ or download and login on myMTN App tap on Proceed to submit your NIN details.
For Globacom Users
According to Globacom, “all our esteemed customers can now link their National Identification Number (NIN) to their mobile numbers by simply sending ‘UPDATENIN NIN FirstName and LastName’ to 109. For example, send ‘UPDATENIN 12345678903 kenedy aminita ’ to 109.”Customers can dial *346# to retrieve their NIN if they have already registered with the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC).
Glo will send a confirmation message when NIN is updated with MSISDN to all customers.
For Airtel Users
1. Airtel Nigeria through its verified Twitter account said, Don’t wait till it’s too late. Link your National Identification Number (NIN) to your phone number. Just dial *121*1# now to link, and *346# to know your NIN
2. Alternatively, you can also make use of online portal to link your Airtel sim by visiting their portal on this url :https://www.airtel.com.ng/nin/
For 9Mobile /Etisalat Users
9mobile/Etisalat customers. can update their NIN by Visit 9mobile online portal to update your NIN via www.9mobile.com.ng/nin/ or www.nin.9mobile.com.ng to Verify and Link your NIN with your sim
