The ring legend’s office has announced that Filipino boxing legend, Manny Pacquiao will fighting UFC superstar Conor McGregor in the Middle East come 2021.
A statement from Pacquiao’s office said that Pacquiao’s earnings from the fight will go towards victims of the covid 19 pandemic victims.
The statement added that Pacquiao and McGregor were “getting ready for this one epic last boxing fight” in the Middle East next year.
Pacquiao, the 41-year-old champion, has verified the news, adding that all of his proceeds will go towards helping those affected by the coronavirus in the Philippines, where he is a Senator.
The huge portion of his earnings will proceed to those who are affected nationwide by the pandemic.’
Legend Filipino bruiser Paquiao, who is regarded as one of the greatest fighters ever, most recently fought in July last year when he beat Keith Thurman in a WBA super world welterweight title defence.
It marks the return of McGregor, who retired from UFC earlier this summer, the third time in four years he has made such an announcement.
In 2017, the former two-weight UFC champion lost to American boxing legend Floyd Mayweather , and has previously hinted that he wanted to take on Mayweather’s former rival Pacquiao.
The Irishman had earlier offered himself for a bout in the octagon with Diego Sanchez, who admitted he has given up on his dream of becoming a UFC champion.
