Covid-19 test carryout in Spain ahead of La Liga return in June, five players have tested positive for deadly virus.
In the first round of tests for Covid-19 ahead of a possible return, three players from the top flight and two others from the Segunda, the second division, have tested positive.
Though,names of the players have not been revealed as preliminary findings with more results still expected.
Calalan broadcaster RAC1 said that LaLiga will make a public announcement soon as they are waiting for all the tests to be completed.
While the players’ clubs have also not been named, RAC1 did confirm that no player from Barcelona has tested positive. This Friday the Barça squad are expected to start individual training.
The Coronavirus tests are being carried out on every LaLiga players, along with the coaching staff and all employees.
There are approximately 2,000 tests taking place to cover all players, coaches and any training staff of all 20 La Liga clubs, with many more results expected to be confirmed on Friday.
The Bundesliga has already confirmed a 16 May return date.
