President, Donald Trump has threatened to regulate or shut down social media platforms accusing the media platforms of political bias towards conservative voices.
Trump on Twitter said; “Republicans feel that Social Media Platforms totally silence conservatives voices. We will strongly regulate, or close them down, before we can ever allow this to happen.”
Trump accused Twitter of interfering in the US presidential election scheduled for 3 November 2020 in new tweets.
The US President who accused the social media company of “completely stifling free speech”, stated that he will never allow it happen.
Trump’s threat comes a day after Twitter Inc. for the first time added a warning to some of his tweets that prompted readers to fact check the president’s claims
Trump had tweeted “There is NO WAY (ZERO!) that Mail-In Ballots will be anything less than substantially fraudulent.” Shortly after the tweet was sent out, a warning label was placed on the post and a subsequent tweet.
