Odion Ighalo sparkling effort against Austrians LASK in the Europa League has earned him Goal-of-the-Month award.
The Ex- Nigerian striker garnered 32 percent of the votes to beat Scott McTominay and Bruno Fernandes to the prize.
Thanks to the ex-Nigeria international who inspired Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side to a 5-0 triumph for the Red Devils’ Round of 16 first leg encounter inside Linzer Stadium.
Man United made this known in a statement on its official website on Saturday. “Ighalo has won the club’s March Goal-of-the-Month award,” the statement read.
Ighalo’s award-winning goal, coupled with a later assist for Daniel James in the same game, earned him a place in the Europa League Team of the Week.
The 30-year-old joined Man United in the January transfer window from Chinese side, Shanghai Shenhua, he has scored four goals in eight appearances for the club so far.
