The Juventus squad and head coach Maurizio Sarri have agreed to give up their four months wages due to the Coronavirus pandemic
The agreement will save the club a total of £80million during the league break caused by the disease outbreak.
Currently Serie A and other leagues in Europe have been suspended,football businesses including games have been affected by the crisis as lack of merchandise sales, ticket sales and television subscriptions mean clubs round Europe will suffer financial losses this period.
‘The economic and financial effects of the understanding reached are positive for about EUR 90 million for the 2019/2020 financial year. ‘
Juventus management thank the players and the coach for their commitment at a difficult time for everyone,” said a statement by the club, champions of Italy for the past eight seasons.
