FG names Abuja Major road after brave Ebola doctor Stella Adadevoh
Nigeria medical doctor Dr. Stella Adadevoh who played a major role in preventing an Ebola epidemic in Nigeria in 2014, has been named major road located along Ahmadu Bello Way, close to the Nigerian Air Force Conference Centre.
Adadevoh died in 2014 while preventing a Liberian man, Patrick Sawyerr from leaving her hospital after she diagnosed him of having the deadly Ebola virus.
Several calls have been made by Nigerians for the deceased to be adequately honored by the Federal government six years after she died from the disease in Lagos.
The House has also called for the renaming of government’s health institution in Lagos after Dr Stella Adadevoh to immortalise her.
National assembly on Tuesday, November 5, urged President Muhammadu Buhari to confer a posthumous honour on Adadevoh towards her giant contribution to the nation.
