Ajax star Hakim Ziyech is to become Frank Lampard’s first signing as Chelsea manager. The Premier League outfit will pay their Dutch counterparts £33m,both Chelsea and Ajax confirmed the deal.
The fee for the 26-year-old Morocco international is expected to rise to £36.7m depending on add-ons.
He’s expected to agree terms on a deal worth around £100,000 a week – double the salary he was earning with the Dutch giants.
Ziyech, who joined Ajax from Twente in 2016 has scored 48 goals as well as contributing 82 assists in 159 matches for the Amsterdam club. For this season, he has scored eight goals and provided 21 assists this season so far.
The player will join the Premier League club on July 1st 2020 and will finish the season in Amsterdam. The clubs have agreed a deal of €40million.
Ziyech won a domestic double with Ajax last season and reached the Champions League semi-finals, while he is now aiming to defend that league crown and lift the Europa League
