Assistant Director at the State House, Abuja,Ms. Laetitia Naankang Dagan has been killed by yet-to-be identified assailants in her apartment in Galadimawa, Abuja, on Monday shortly after she returned from work.
“The assailants were so cruel. They tied her and set her with her mattress on fire after she left her office in the Presidential Villa, Abuja, around 8pm while the incident happened around 11pm.
The 47-year Dagan from Plateau State was just promoted to the position of assistant director last year. She was always full of smile,” one of her colleagues said.
The Permanent Secretary, State House, Abuja, Jalal Arabi, described the killing of Dagan, Assistant Director of Administration in the State House, as “a painful loss, not only to her immediate family, but also the entire State House.”
Arabi said, “She was a dedicated, hard-working officer, and we all feel pained by her dastardly and untimely death.”
“We all share in your grief and pains, but be consoled by the fact that she lived a good life and contributed her best to the services of her nation.”
She was said to be a participant in an ongoing training for civil servants holding at the Manhattan Event Centre, Uke, Nasarawa State.
