The French actress best known for her role as a Bond Girl in the 1965 James Bond 007 film “Thunderball”, has died aged 78.
The actress Claudine Auger, who featured in the 1965 James Bond movie ‘Thunderball’ alongside Sean Connery, died at her home in Paris on Thursday the Time Art agency announced.
Claudine was Born in April 1941 in Paris, Auger began her career as a model and represented France at the 1958 Miss World competition, where she was first runner-up.
During her career in the movie industry, she appeared in French, Italian and English speaking films. Her last role was in 1997 French TV movie The Red and The Black, as Madame de Fervaques.
On the side she was taking acting lessons, winning small cinema parts to gradually earn a reputation as an actress in France, including the 1962 Three Musketeers film “The Iron Mask”
