The Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle flew last-minute trip to New York to watch her friend Serena Williams play in the US Open.
The 38, boarded commercial flight just seven hours after watching Serena win in the tennis tournament’s semi-final last night amid backlash over recent private jet trips with her husband, Prince Harry.
Meghan travelled without Prince Harry and Baby Archie. She will return to London at the end of the weekend.
Source said, “It is a last-minute trip. Excited to support her friend, and then come back.”
Williams will face Bianca Andreescu in the women’s final on Saturday. She is eyeing her 24th Grand Slam title. If she clenches it, she’ll tie the record for most wins with Margaret Smith Court.
