The Juventus superstar , Cristiano Ronaldo broke down in tears in an interview with Piers Morgan after watching an emotional video of his late father , Jose Dinis Aveiro praising him for the first time.
The former Manchester United, and Real Madrid striker was shown a clip of his dad Jose Dinis Aveiro, a year before he died in 2004, being interviewed on Norweigan television outside his house expressing his pride at his achievements, ahead of the Euro 2004 tournament held in Portugal.
Ronaldo was just 20 when his father died of liver failure at the age of 52 after battling alcoholism.
The 34-year-old footballer’s said, I never saw the video,” I don’t know where you… I need to have these video to show my family. But I really don’t know my father 100 percent. He was a drunk person. I never spoke with him, like a normal conversation. It was hard.”
