The Brazilian superstar Neymar is set to be fined £340,000 by the Paris Saint-Germain after failing to turn up for their training session earlier this week.
Neymar, who left Spain for France for a world-record fee of £198million two years ago, has been linked with a sensational return to Barcelona.
While other players reported for training on Monday, Neymar didn’t show up as the Ligue 1 champions kick-started their preparations for the next campaign as he is trying to force through Barcelona move.
Marca, report that, the Brazilian will not receive £340,000 of July’s bonus as punishment for not reporting for club duty, with the striker reportedly having a good behaviour clause in his contract and the money that he will miss out on will go to the club charity instead.
Neymar was in Brazil over the weekend to watching his team-mates beat Peru in the Copa America final.
Some of the players to have their bonus withheld from them in the past, are Serge Aurier, Adrien Rabiot, Edinson Cavani and Marco Verratt for offences ranging from criticism of fellow team-mates to returning late to training.
