The Paris Saint-Germain forward Neymar arrived in Rio de Janeiro on Thursday evening on crutches because of his injured right ankle from Brazil’s 2-0 friendly win over Qatar.

Neymar who arrived at the police station in Rio for questioning over an alleged rape case by a woman in a Paris hotel has denied raping the woman but said it was a consensual agreement between both parties.

The accuser Najila Trindade Mendes accused the PSG forward last month for raping her at a hotel in Paris, she said in a recent interview,

She said;

‘He was aggressive, totally different than the boy that I got to know on the messages.

‘Since I really wanted to be with him I said, OK, I’m going to try to handle this,’ she said.

‘After some kissing and caressing ‘he started to hit me … then he began to hurt me a lot, and I asked him to stop because it hurt.’

According to her, Neymar apologized, but did not stop hurting her while they had sex. A doctor who checked Najila revealed that she sustained bruises from the alleged attack.

A video was released on social media showing Neymar and Trindade in a physical altercation, which the footballer’s father claimed was prove his son had been set-up.

“I wouldn’t expose myself this way to take money from Neymar. There is no logic, there is no sense,” said Trindade.

It’s understood that Neymar will pay the police another visit in the coming days to testify his case.

A few days ago, the woman’s lawyers dropped her case after they found inconsistencies in her story against the footballer. A report also claimed she had been fined £5000 by a Brazilian court over eviction. That was a day before she came up with the rape allegation. She has threatened to release video to prove she was raped.
