The Shether rapper Remy Ma turn herself to police on Wednesday and she was booked for misdemeanor assault for allegedly punching her “Love & Hip Hop New York” co-star Brittney Taylor at a concert last month.
Earlier this month, Taylor took to her Instagram story pointing the finger at Remy two weeks ago, says the rapper punched her backstage at the Pretty Lou Benefit concert in New York City’s Irving Plaza on April 16.
Taylor added, “I just don’t feel like it’s okay for people to put their hands on someone that’s not being malicious to them, that’s being genuine.”
Taylor’s lawyer Sandford Rubenstein said,”A conversation did take place involving Remy Ma’s stepchild. I don’t have any details with regard to the specifics of the conversation, but that’s what led up to the event.”
Brittney Taylor, has confidence in our system of justice and will continue to fully cooperate with the authorities.”her attorney added”.
As police were investigating the incident, Taylor prepared to file a civil suit against Remy by requesting cops preserve all evidence of the alleged assault, including surveillance footage.
