The current WWE World Champion Kofi Sarkodie-Mensah, popularly acknowledged as ‘Kofi Kingston’, paid a courtesy go to to President Akufo-Addo at the Jubilee House on Thursday, May 30, 2019.
According to Ghana President Akufo-Addo in a publish on his official Facebook handle, the WWE star’s go to to Ghana is in response to the proclamation of this year, 2019, as the “Year of Return”,.
The 37-year-old ‘Kofi Kingston said that he considers this “Year of Return” as a special opportunity for him to make a historical visit to Ghana at the top of his wrestling career.
“Above all else, when I used to be a kid, this was once what I desired to do, it’s fantastic that I was capable to gain my childhood dream but what’s even more necessary than that is for me to come again and inspire people who may be exactly where I used to be as a little child watching, hoping to be some thing that I am living, breathing proof that you can be anything you prefer to be.
I’m offering notion to humans who desire to do something but don’t recognize if they can do it. I’m right here to grant inspiration that you can do it if you believe in yourself. So, I’m pleased to be here to inspire different Ghanaians to go out and do extremely good matters in this world” he said.
Kofi Kingston who made history at WWE’s biggest annual calendar event Wrestlemania 35 in April and defeated Daniel Bryan in a very feisty, entertaining and roller-coaster encounter with his signature Trouble in Paradise move to clinch the highly coveted WWE Championship.
