Kim Kardashian, 38, and Kanye West, 41, have welcomed their fourth child together, a baby boy born via surrogate. Kim Kardashian announced today on Twitter.
Kim and Kanye have been married since 2014 and have three other children: North, 5; Saint, 3; and Chicago, 1 were at the hospital with the surrogate to welcome their newborn. The proud parents were said to have used a leftover embryo they created to bring this newest baby to life.
Kim Kardashian threw a CBD themed baby shower last month while the surrogate mother gets closer to her due date. Guests were treated to concoct their own CBD-infused body oils and bath salts then chilling out with a sound bath. Kim told guests,
“So, because I’m freaking out and the baby is coming in, like, two weeks, I thought what better way to celebrate than to have a little CBD,” the mom-to-be told her guests, including momager Kris Jenner and sister Kourtney Kardashian as well as Chrissy Teigen, Paris Hilton, Larsa Pippen, Jen Atkin and E! stars Olivia Pierson and Natalie Halcro.
With the couple’s eldest child, North, Kardashian experienced appendicitis and preeclampsia, a serious condition that causes high blood pressure and sometimes other symptoms like water retention. The condition can make the birthing process difficult for the mother and baby.
A couple of years later, Kardashian West experienced another trying pregnancy with Saint. The reality star developed placenta accreta, another serious ailment that causes the placenta to grow too close to the uterine wall.
