Rapper Cardi B is taking some time off from Memorial Day festival to recover from her recent plastic surgery.
Cardi B was scheduled to perform Friday night, announced a change of date for the festival. The Baltimore radio station cited a “health issue,” for the date change,
According to reports from a abdominoplasty surgery in Baton Rouge, Cardi was instructed to take time off after undergoing the procedures. Yet, she continued to grace the stage for a string of performances preventing her body from fully healing.
Her rep made this known via s statement:
“Cardi was overzealous in getting back to work, she didn’t take the time necessary to fully recover from her surgery. Her strenuous schedule has taken a toll on her body and she has been given strict doctors orders to pull out of the rest of her performances in May. “She’s very disappointed as she hates to let her fans down. She reassures them that she will see them in September.”
A source claims that: “After her plastic surgery, Cardi B jumped right back into her work so she wouldn’t disappoint her fans and wanted fulfill her obligations. The traveling, flying and the performances took a toll on her body.”
Cardi B had previously admitted that she shouldn’t be performing so soon but had to do it anyway.
“I have some news for y’all. I should have canceled today. I shouldn’t really be performing because moving too much is gonna f**k up my lipo. But b**ch I’m still gonna get my motherf**king money back, let’s go!”
Cardi has also postponed her concerts in upstate New York. She was slated to perform at the St. Joseph’s Health Amphitheater at Lakeview and Saratoga Performing Arts Center on May 25 and May 26.
