Asos Billionaire says last goodbye to three of his children,Alfred, Alma and Agnes killed in Sri Lanka terror attacks

The funeral for Business tycoon and ASOS billionaire Anders Holch Povlsen three children who died in the Sri Lanka terror attacks have been laid to rest.

ASOS billionaire Anders Holch Povlsen, 46, comforted his wife Anne as they said goodbye to their children Alfred, Alma and Agnes. they w ere seen outside Aarhus Cathedral in Denmark as coffins for three of his children were escorted by hearse

The three coffins were decorated with flowers, balloons and portraits of the children as it was carried out of the church before the burial. Astrid Povlsen, the only surviving child, was seen cutting flowers from one of the coffins of her siblings.

The Danish Royal Family and the country’s Prime Minister Lars Lokke Rasmussen attended the service. Crown Princess Mary could be seen holding her daughter Princess Isabella next to son Prince Vincent and daughter Princess Josephine.


The Asos billionaire and his family were staying at the Shangri-La Hotel in Sri Lanka’s capital Colombo when it was hit on Easter Sunday by suicide bombers Zahran Hashim and Ilham Ibrahim. Povlsen, his wife, and one of their daughters survived. But son Alfred and daughters Alma and Agnes were killed.

At a memorial last week, the family described their loss as “utterly incomprehensible” but thanked family, friends and neighbours in the Danish town of Brande for their support, in a text message read by a priest.

Mr Povlsen is the second-largest individual private landowner in Britain and Scotland’s largest private landowner, Mr Povlsen owns the Bestseller clothing chain, which owns popular clothing brand ASOS, and has an estimated net worth of just under eight billion.
