Lucas Moura hat-trick stuns Ajax overcame a 1-0 home defeat as Tottenham Hotspot qualify for its first ever Champions League final.
Ajax won the two teams’ first leg 1-0 and went up 2-0 in second leg at home, giving it a 3-0 aggregate lead at halftime. However, the Dutch side was given an almighty defeat as Spurs pull the rug out from under it.
Mauricio Pochettino’s travelled to Holland, knowing that they had to beat the flying Dutch upstarts, who eliminated Real Madrid and Juventus from the competition. However, they got off to a bad start, after Matthijs De Ligt headed the hosts in front.
It has been an outstanding effort from Ajax, which right up until the last moments, looked set to be heading through. But this dramatic Champions League campaign had another twist, and it is Spurs who have set up an all English final against Liverpool, whose own comeback win over Barca yesterday may have just been topped!
