Manchester City 4-3 Tottenham, Spur qualify for the semi-finals in Champions League

English Football Club, Tottenham has progressed to the Champions League semi-finals on away goals as a throbbing 4-3 win for City on Wednesday was insufficient to upset their 1-0 first leg shortfall.

Manchester City players who thought they had qualified, had celebrated a goal scored by Raheem Sterling at the 93rd minute of play. But the goal was eventually ruled out by the referee with the aid of VAR but not until after Mauricio Pochettino has pulled his shirt over his head and Pep Guardiola hugged everyone in sight.

Four goals were scored in a crazy opening 11 minutes as Raheem Sterling and Bernardo Silva cancelled out two Son Heung-min away goals for Tottenham.

City finally looked set for the last four when further goals from Sterling and Sergio Aguero put them ahead in the tie for the first time.

Ajax, Barcelona, Liverpool and Tottenham are this season’s UEFA Champions League semi-finalists.

2018/19 semi-finals:
