The photo and video-sharing social networking service has launched Instagram checkout to enhanced online shopping solutions which includes features such as shopping stickers in Stories, its own shopping cart,a shopping channel in Explore, and a redesign of the dedicated shop tab on business profiles.
Instagram checkout enable business intelligence works with existing tools like shopping tags and stickers inside both feed posts and Stories. The product page for items from early adapters of the new tool displays photos, allows users to choose different options like sizes and color, and then includes a “checkout on Instagram” button. Instagram says checkout information will be “securely saved” for future orders, streamlining the process for second purchases, even from a different retailer.
Instagram checkout now makes it possible for Business to evaluate how to buy anything on Instagram in-app. This means users can now pay directly for an item on Instagram without leaving the site. And they don’t have to be redirected to a seller’s website.
With Instagram checkout, buyers can shop for their favorite products by simply tapping the “Checkout with Instagram” button once they view the product. The first time they enter their credit card information, it is saved for future transactions.
