The Award-winning British singer, Adele, 30 and her US-born charity CEO husband Simon Konecki had reportedly split after three years of marriage.
The Grammy Award-winning singer, who met the US-born charity CEO in 2011 and married him in secret in 2016, confirmed their three-year marriage had come to an end – but vowed to raise their six-year-old son Angelo together ‘lovingly’.
Adele and Simon tied the knot sometime in 2016, though they managed to keep the secret wedding under wraps until the following year.
The singer’s representatives said on Friday: ‘Adele and her partner have separated. They are committed to raising their son together lovingly. As always they ask for privacy.’
Her spokespeople, Benny Tarantini, and Carl Fysh, said the star would be making no further comment on the matter.
Adele was rumored to be the reason Simon and his first wife split. But the singer denied the speculation in a rare public statement on her website, saying Simon had been very much divorced for four years before they met.
Fans have also been wondering when Adele will be releasing her fourth studio album, and while it was reported by NME her next record is set for December 2019, nothing has been confirmed.
