Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema was robbed during the El-Clasico against Barcelona in the second leg of the Copa Del Rey clash at the Santiago Bernabeu.
The defeat Barcelona was only the beginning of Benzema’s problems after El Chiringuito reported that burglars took advantage of his absence and broke into his home during the match.
It’s unknown how much was taken in the robbery but it’s true that the experience of having been targetted meant the French forward did not have a pleasant night.
Benzema’s the latest footballer to be targetted while playing. In recent weeks, PSG’s Dani Alves suffering a break-in on February 20 during a Ligue 1 match against Montpellier and Barça’s Kevin Prince Boateng have also been the subject of burglaries at their properties.
The Burgulars got into Alves’ place in Neuilly-sur-Seine through a window and reportedly stole watches and caused around €10,000 worth of damage.
An investigation is going on in a bid to bring the perpetrators to book, at the moment no further details are currently available. Last month Kevin-Prince Boateng’s house in the Sarria of Barcelona was targeted this month
Over in England, Sadio Mane also suffered a burglary during Liverpool’s Champions League match against Bayern Munich this month.
