The son of King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud , Saudi Crown Prince, Mohammad bin Salman, hoping to tempt United’s current owners the Glazers into selling the club before the start of next season at £3.8 billion takeover bid.
Although the American owners of the Old Trafford club have not indicated their interest to sell Manchester United, but Salman wants to tempt them with a bid that will be difficult to reject.
The American owners purchased the Red Devils in 2003–14 years ago at the sum of £790m but if they decided to accept Bin Salman’s offer, the Glazers would bank a huge £2.2bn profit.
One of the insiders also added that the £3.8bn valuation from the Saudi Prince is dependent on whether or not United can secure Champions League football next season.
The 33-year-old prince Bin Salman is the heir to the throne in Saudi Arabia, and he was born with a silver spoon in his mouth and is currently serving as the country’s deputy prime minister.
