Kim Kardashian Sued For $100 Million Over Kimoji App by developer, David Liebensohn
Kim Kardashian is being sued over her popular Kimoji app build by David Liebensohn for at least $100million by a developer who claims she cut him out of her successful citing breach of contact and fraud.
Liebensohn was behind an app called CensorOut and the app helped bring his team to Kardashian’s attention. The developer claims that Kim agreed to cut their company in for 60 percent of Kimojis back in 2014. He said that he was left off of the trademark paperwork for convenience sake, but it was understood that the product was a joint venture.
He claims to have named the app, but says he agreed Kim could register the trademark to keep things simple.
He said, the app was being downloaded 9,000 times a second on release day. That works out to a million dollars a minute. And that was just day one.
Kim’s lawyer Marty Singer said, the lawsuit filed against Kim Kardashian is ridiculous and absurd. The parties entered into a binding settlement agreement 2014 in which Kim gave up multi-million dollar claims against Mr. Liebensohn and his partners.
