Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri is on the brink of being sacked as manager following the FA Cup defeat to Manchester United.
The Italian could be dismissed if Chelsea lose either of their games against Malmo in the Europa League on Thursday night or Manchester City in Sunday’s Carabao Cup final.
Chelsea lead Malmo 2-1 going into Thursday night’s last-32 second leg and the competition, and the possibility of qualifying for the Champions League, are now of vital importance with a top-four place in the Premier League under threat.
Though Sarri has expressed worries over his team’s exit from the FA Cup “I am worried about the result, not about the fans,” he said. “Of course I can understand the situation. I understand our fans, because the result wasn’t really good.
“We are out of the FA Cup, so I can understand very well our fans. But I am worried at the moment about our results”
This might be Maurizio Sarri’s last game at Chelsea. He won’t survive. He’s done.“He’ll get the sack for numerous reasons – he can’t motivate the players, his inability to be able to adapt and change,” is serious challenge to the Blue.
