Rapper Juelz Santana weds Kimbella ahead of prison jail term
American rapper Juelz Santana weds longtime girlfriend and mother of his two kids before family and friends in a private ceremony ahead of his prison sentence.
The rapper was sentence to 27 months in prison for attempting to bring a loaded gun on a flight leaving Newark Airport in March.
He’ll also be under supervised release for 12 months after he’s completed his time. No date was set on when the rapper will have to surrender.
The 36-year-old Santana, who remained out on bail, proposed to Kimbella in the middle of his set at the Apollo Theater in New York on November 23, 2018. His fellow Dipset group mate Cam’ron was there, and he captured the entire thing on camera all while Jim Jones and Freekey Zekey looked on.
“This my lady. She’s been rocking with me for a long, long time,” Juelz told the theater audience.
“She stuck it out with a nigga through the ups and downs. I love you, baby. You’re my queen and I want to do this in front of everybody right here.”
Although many on the internet have questioned the timing of Santana’s proposal, he’s not worried about what other people think.
“If I was worried about someone taking her the [sic] I wouldn’t of did it,” wrote Juelz in a clap back comment on Instagram.
“If someone take ya lady, a ring ain’t gonna stop nothing. U jus gonna be out of a ring n a lady. What u saying makes no sense… Stay blessed tho fam.”
