Diddy’s ex-Kim Porter autopsy report revealed she died of pneumonia called lobar pneumonia, which is the inflammation of an entire lobe of the lungs.
The post-mortem reports that the 47 – years demise was from normal causes,Sarah Ardalani, representative for the Department of Medical Examiner-Coroner affirmed to TMZ on Jan. 25.
Porter was found at her home in Toluca Lake, California, and had been receiving treatment for the infection.
The autopsy report described “lobar pneumonia” as an infection of the lung caused by bacteria.
“Immune cells invade the air spaces (where oxygen is taken in) and this is accompanied with necrosis (death of cells). Pneumonia decreases the lungs’ ability to take in oxygen and over time it can cause sudden death.”
She had been feeling unwell with flu-like symptoms for about four days before her death, the autopsy report says, and her symptoms of coughing, congestion, sweats, sore throat and body aches worsened over the next days.
Kim, who was in a long term relationship with Diddy throughout the late 90s and early 2000s, was just 47 years old at the time of her death.
Three days after her sudden demise, the 49-year-old rapper shared a contacting tribute to Porter close by a video of both of them moving together while she was pregnant with their twins.
The rapper had three children of his own with Kim, also: Christian, who was born in 1998, alongside twin girls, D’Lila and Jessie, born in 2007.
