Zimbabwean man and his spouse who lives in the United Kingdom are confronting various years in jail after they planned and faked his death so she could claim £400,000 life insurance.
Bekezela Bhebhe, of Hayes, Middlesex , will show up at Inner London Crown Court on December 13, while Thulile Bhebhe, of a similar location, will be sentenced after the conclusion of her husband’s trial.
A court has heard that Thulile Bhebhe pretended her husband was dead after her husband, Bekezela Bhebhe faked his own death between 1 August and 30 September 2016.
As per Mail Online, Zimbabwean Bhebe Bhebe appeared at City of London Magistrates Court where he denied one count of fraud by false representation. His South African wife also admitted the same charge at the hearing.
Prosecutor Julian Pozimski told judges: involving the provision of a life insurance policy of £397, 153.’ He said that, whenever found guilty, Mr. Bhebe, could get up to five years in jail thus the case ought to be heard at a Crown
Justice Colin Bateman-Jones told the couple: ‘The subject of Mr. Bhebhe’s blame will be an issue for a preliminary trial.’ the couple were later released on unconditional bail.
