The 26-year-old artist Selena Gomez suffered an ’emotional breakdown’and she been hospitalized twice in the past two weeks and is now being treated at hospital.
She was taken to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles for the incident and was released days later, but had to be re-admitted late last week when the low blood cell count reoccured.
The singer is undergoing dialectical behavior therapy, a therapy method designed to help try to identify, and then change, negative thinking and behavioral patterns, the source says.
“Gomez has had a tough few weeks and the panic attack in the hospital was the tipping point,” a source said.
“She realized she needed to seek additional help for her ongoing emotional issues. She’s surrounded by close family and has a lot of support. She’s doing better now and is seeking treatment on the East Coast.”
Selena Gomez first checked into a hospital during the last week of September after she was at her home in Studio City, CA and suddenly had an alarmingly low white blood cell count due to the kidney transplant she received last year.
