The R&B diva Ashanti has been getting a lot of bad press these days after reports surfaced claiming that she canceled a concert after selling only 24 tickets.
Being one of the most recognized names in the music industry from the last decade, people were surprised about the reports. She hasn’t released much new music in the last year after hitting her prime early on in her career, but fans expected a bigger turnout than 24 people.

50 Cent on one of his posts with respect to the show’s cancellation. At first, he was entirely astounded, conceding he didn’t exactly know how to respond. In a second post, the “Get The Strap” rapper requested each of the 24 ticket-purchasers to answer to him, asking for their names and socials after he told everyone “not to f–k with” Ja Rule and, by affiliation, Ashanti.
“Do Basement parties then it can still feel like it’s lit I don’t know what to say. LOL get the strap,” the G-Unit rapper added.
The singer was scheduled to perform at Stony Brook University’s Back To Brook event this month before the school issued a statement announcing the cancellation.
“As an organization, we do our best to host programs for students while providing diversity and inclusion,” they said. “However, we have struggled to execute certain aspects. With a week before the concert, only 24 tickets are sold to students,” Capital Xtra quotes.”
