THE Federal Government has commenced the process on an upward review of corps members monthly allowance, the Director General(DG) of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) Suleiman Kazaure on Thursday disclosed.

Kazaure said the scheme received a letter from the presidency that was also copied minister finance to that effect

“The FG is working to increase your monthly allowance, therefore, whatever you find yourselves conduct yourself well, be good ambassador of your family, the scheme and the nation.

“We received a letter from the presidency, that is, the ministry of youth and sport copied the ministry of Finance that shows that the corps allowance will be reviewed upward, it is in the pipeline,” he said.

Brigadier General Kazaure then cautioned them against unnecessary journies and indecent dressing, adding that they should be security conscious at all times.

To the end, he urged the corps members to reciprocate the government gesture by taking advantage of the Skill Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development (SAED).
