DSS officials blocked access into the National Assembly complex
The Department of State Services [DSS] officials have taken over the National Assembly after lawmakers went on a recess that would lapse at the end of September after 15 senators defected from APC to PDP.
Armed and masked officials of the Department of State Services have blocked access into the National Assembly complex by preventing the lawmakers from having access. There is also indication that Apc members are allowed access to the chamber.
Senators Ben Murray Bruce, Biodun Olujimi and Rafiu Ibrahim are among those blocked.
The presidency has been appealing to the National Assembly to reconvene to attend to pressing issues that need their attention, particularly the 2018 supplementary budget and virement request.
