XXXTentacion whose real name was Jahseh Onfroy, 20, was gunned down on June 18 while leaving a Deerfield Beach bike dealership.
The Slain rapper, has been let go at a private burial service which occurred on Thursday in Florida and he got a tremendous landmark in his respect.
Authorities have arrested 22-year-old Dedrick Devonshay Williams and charged him with first degree murder in the rapper’s death.
Also identified as a person of interest was 22-year-old Robert Allen, who was seen in surveillance footage at a store XXXTentacion had visited moments before him. Mr Allen has not yet been deemed a suspect, however.
His private memorial service was apparently gone to by kindred rappers Lil Uzi Vert and Lil Yachty, and singer Erykah Badu.
XXX’s mom Cleopatra Bernard, shared a photograph of the rapper’s catacomb with the caption … “My guardian angel.
Long live XXX,” Ms Badu wrote in an Instagram post dedicated to the rapper.
“May your mother, family, child’s mother, and true fans find moments of peace.”
During the nine days between Onfroy’s murder and his formal memorial held at the BT&T Center in Sunrise, Florida, a series of impromptu ceremonies were held across the country.
Geneva Ayala, Onfroy’s former girlfriend who he was accused of beating, threatening and imprisoning, briefly attempted to attend a vigil. According to Ayala’s Instagram, the tokens she left for Onfroy – flowers, a globe, a sign and candles – were set on fire and an anonymous woman, furious that Ayala had “snitched” on Onfroy, attempted to fight her. She left after 25 minutes, understandably distraught and in tears.
