You’d recall the release of the last Dapchi girl with Boko Haram, Leah Sharibu was among the 110 girls abducted from Government Girls Science and Technical College, Dapchi in Yobe State by Boko Haram insurgents on February 19, 2018. According to the account of one of the girls abducted, Leah was not released because she refused to convert to Islam.
Despite assurance from the federal government to free Leah, she remains in captivity.
Onyeka Onwenu has released a 3 minutes clasp of herself in an energetic interest to President Muhammad Buhari.
In the drifting video shared on Facebook by Senator Ben Murray Bruce, Onyeka breaks down in tears as she reminds the world that Leah Sharibu, a 15 year old Christian girl stays in bondage regardless of the arrival of her non Christian colleagues.
Onyeka additionally entreated the president to look to Thailand’s ongoing cave rescue as inspiration.

“Leah is a straight, ‘A’ student,I am begging Boko Haram to please in the name of all that is good, release every captive let them live, let Nigeria live.
“I also call on president Buhari to be inspired by the successful rescue mission of the Thai boys to do the same to rescue children held by Boko Haram.
“Mr President stop the killing in Nigeria, it’s enough. Rescue our children languishing in captivity,” Onwenu pleaded.
