Russia 2018 :Ahmed Musa, Ronaldo, Messi, Modric,others nominated for Word Cup goal of the tournament

The Super Eagles striker’s Ahmed Musa second goal 2-0 victory over Iceland at Volgograd Arena was nominated along 17 others for for the 2018 World Cup Goal of the Tournament.

Musa who was arguably Nigeria’s best player at the tournament has been shortlisted along strikes from Portugal duo Cristiano Ronaldo and Ricardo

The Quaresma, Croatia captain and Golden Ball winner Luka Modric, Spain defender Nacho, Brazil’s Philipe Coutinho, Russia attackers Denis Cheryshev and Artem Dzyuba for the best goal in the global football showpiece.

The voting for the Best Goal in Russia 2018 will be open until July 23 on FIFA’s official website.

The Forward will also battle Cristiano Ronaldo’s third goal against Spain,Argentina’s Lionel Messi, Angel Di Maria, France’s Benjamin Pavard, Belgium trio of Adnan Januzaj, Dries Mertens and Nacer Chadli, England’s Jesse Lingard, Germany’s Toni Kroos and Colombia’s Juan Quintero for the prize.

Fans had quickly turned it into a meme moment, and it seems FIFA agrees, making it the only goal by an African on the shortlist.
