Leicester City winger, Riyad Mahrez could have his medical later this week as he is set to complete his move to Manchester City this week, Sky Sport reports.
No deal has been agreed as yet, but we understand Leicester will receive around £60m – some way short of their £80m January asking price.
The deal is still not fully agreed but there is now a growing expectancy that the 27-year-old’s move to the champions will go through in the next few days.
City sent in a number of offers for Mahrez in January, but the Foxes refused to sell, even after the player handed in an official transfer request for the second time.
Leicester have granted Mahrez a week off training after he played an international friendly for Algeria and he is expected back on Monday.
The Premier League champions have remained keen on the Algeria international, who scored 13 goals in 41 appearances for the Foxes last season.
Mahrez’s sale will represent a mammoth profit for Leicester, who signed him from Le Havre for just £450,000 in January 2014.
After his move to City was blocked in January he handed in a transfer request and then went on a self-imposed strike for over a week before returning.
