Destiny’s Child singer, Michelle Williams 37-year-old is being treated in a facility just outside of Los Angeles and has been there for the past several days.
Williams has uncovered she’s now happy and healthy after recently seeking medical help for mental health issues.
The 37-year-old has beforehand talked about being depressed and “suicidal”.
In an Instagram post, Michelle said that as a mental health awareness advocate, she “listened to the same advice” she’s given to others.
She’s had messages of support from artists including original Destiny’s Child member LaTavia Roberson and Missy Elliott.
Michelle who has been open about her mental health struggles talked about it previously, telling Rolling Out in 2013 “For years growing up, I thought someone getting treatment and counseling was really crazy or had personality disorders, but it’s really for normal people that have some issues that they need answers to.”
In a statement on Tuesday, Michelle who famously reunited with her former girl group Beyonce and Kelly Rowland at Coachella in April, said: “For years I have dedicated myself to increasing awareness of mental health and empowering people to recognize when it’s time to seek help, support and guidance from those that love and care for your wellbeing.”
She proceeds with, “Today I gladly, happily and healthily stand here as someone who will continue to always lead by example as I tirelessly advocate for the betterment of those in need.”
“For a considerable length of time I have devoted myself to expanding familiarity with mental wellness and enabling people to perceive when it’s a great opportunity to look for help, support and direction from those that affection and administer to your prosperity,” Williams wrote in an announcement presented on Instagram. “I as of late tuned in to a similar exhortation I have given to thousands around the globe and looked for assistance from an incredible group of medicinal services experts.”

Williams did not reveal the idea of the condition or conditions for which she looked for treatment, yet she has opened up in the past about her fights with depression.
