The entertainment industry is in mourning mood following the sudden death of Nigerian singer, entertainer and entrepreneur, D’banj, and wife Lineo Kilgrow, who lost their one-year-old son, Daniel Oyebanjo III.
Daniel Oyebanjo died after drowning at Dbanj’s Ikoyi residence on Sunday afternoon.
The toddler reportedly drowned at a pool in the singer’s residence in Ikoyi, Lagos.
D’banj is currently in Los Angeles to attend the 2018 BET Awards when the death of his son occurred.
The singer took to his Instagram page to post a black image with the caption: “Trying Times. But my God is Always and Forever Faithful.”
The senator representing Bayelsa East constituency, Ben Murray Bruce, has joined other celebrities to sympathise with Dbanj. “@iamdbanj I am really really sad to read about the death of your lovely son. Death of a child is the saddest thing for any parent. On behalf of my family and I, please do accept our sincerest sympathy.
But close friends and associates have taken to the social media to commiserate with him and his family over the loss of Daniel III who celebrated his first birthday a month ago.
Dbanjs manager, Frank Amudo also wrote, “Trying Times Try God. He Is Still Worthy Of All Our Praises.”
