Apple signs Huge Deal with Oprah Winfrey to make New original TV Shows

As part of the tech giant’s push into original content,Apple announced on Friday a deal with media mogul Oprah Winfrey that’ll see the two produce new shows together.

The deal has been described as a “multiyear” one, although the exact number of years is unknown. which means fans expect to see Oprah-Apple content for some time to come. Apple making arrangements with mega-stars will not be lost on prospective viewers.

Oprah Winfrey joins a lot of talent at Apple. M. Night Shyamalan has a new show coming up with Apple, as do Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon. Winfrey is undoubtedly one of the most sought-after talents working, so it goes without saying that Apple landing Winfrey for a content partnership is a huge deal!

The actress and philanthropist has dominated daytime TV for decades, first with her long-running Oprah Winfrey Show — which aired its last episode in 2011 — and then the Oprah Winfrey Network (OWN).

Winfrey’s Apple deal could include film, TV, mobile apps and books that would be distributed through the company’s multiplatform channels, the entertainment outlet reported, citing anonymous sources. She will continue to run OWN, the report said.

Together, Winfrey and Apple will create original programs that embrace her incomparable ability to connect with audiences around the world.

Winfrey’s projects will be released as part of a lineup of original content from Apple.”
