Call for the restructuring Niger Delta region will on Saturday, March 24,will hold a mega rally in Bayelsa state capital,which was organised by Edwin Clark-led Pan Niger Delta Forum (PANDEF).

The rally is tagged, “Restructuring the Nigerian Federation,” before the 2019 general election
clamor for the restructuring of Nigeria as a federation is intended tool for restructuring as the 2019 general election is going to be a referendum on restructuring.
The rally theme, Fellow Nigerians, let’s restructure now, tomorrow may be too late. A restructured Nigeria will guarantee unity, fairness, peace and progress for all, irrespective of religion, creed, region and state.”
A restructured Nigeria will guarantee a free, fair, egalitarian, united, peaceful and prosperous nation where everybody, irrespective of region, religion, creed and status will be happy.
“We the people of Niger Delta/ South-South want the Nigerian federation to be restructured to enthrone true federalism before the 2019 general election, and it is doable, all that is required is a political will on the part of the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria”.
Okorotie’s urged Afenifere, Ohaneze Ndigbo, Arewa Consultative Assembly, Middle Belt Forum, the clergy, traditional rulers, and elders across the nation, youth, women groups and the general public to attend the South-South rally.
The rally is expected to highlight issues bordering on crude oil exploration and exploitation as it affects the blighted region and its excluded population, an issue that has been on the front burner in recent times.
It is also to re-echo and commend various groups in the country, who have continued to bring up the question of restructuring to the centre stage in national discourse as well as reaffirmed the position that restructuring of the country is all about the survival of the Nigerian nation.
The rally will also bring the oil majors companies relocate their headquarters to the region according to the Vice-President’s pronouncement, but the reverse appears to be the case.
