The #ResumeOrResign protesters“Our Mumu Don Do” protesters led by maverick entertainer, Charles Oputa also known as Charlyboy was attached with stones, Gunshots and teargas at popular Wuse Market in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) on Tuesday.
The group left their meeting point at Unity Fountain and decided to take their campaign to Wuse Market in the Federal Capital Territory on their arrival, they were attacked with stones by sympathizers of President Muhammadu Buhari.
However, men of the Nigeria Police Force who were stationed in the market quickly took control of the situation to restore peace and order.
In a statement by leaders of the anti-Buhari protest, Deji Adeyanju,
“If the president had any integrity he will honorably resign.”
“This government is worse than Abacha regime, Abacha during his tenure did not kill over 1,000 Shiites.
“Abacha did not waste money by sharing to hired crowd.”
The group alleged that Acting President Yemi Osinbajo had been incapacitated by ‘the cabal’ and was not allowed to govern the country effectively.
The leader of the #OurMumuDonDo Movement, Charly Boy, said he watched the video many times and “could see through the deceit and lies.”
The area fada alleged that the presidential media aides, who released the pictures and video after visiting the President in London, were pressured to go to the United Kingdom by his coalition’s protests.
Charly Boy said, “We forced the FEC (Federal Executive Council) to hurriedly send some media aides to London to showcase the President. I watched the video several times and I could see the deceit and the lies. this was made known to journalists during the eighth day of its protest on Monday in Abuja.
“The President is fragile and frail; we saw a man who wants to be left alone, we saw a man who wants to rest but for the cabal. If anything happens to him, we would hold the cabal responsible; we would call them out, name them and ensure they are prosecuted.”
The protest convener, Deji Adeyanju, insisted that his group simply wanted the President to disclose his health status, adding that plans had been concluded for protests in London, Lagos and Port Harcourt on Wednesday.

Punch reported that, Buhari’s supporter, who gave his name as Abdulrahman Daura, insisted that the #ResumeOrResign campaigners could not stampede Buhari into abandoning his treatment to return to the country.
“We are the youths; 11 people protesting against the President cannot force him to resume or resign,” he stated.
Meanwhile, the BBC, in a report on Sunday, listed Buhari among African presidents who did not have faith in their countries’ health systems.
Other presidents mentioned in the report were Abdelaziz Bouteflika (Algeria), Robert Mugabe (Zimbabwe), Jose Eduardo dos Santos (Angola) and Patrice Talon (Benin Republic).
