As the Blue ready to lift the Premier League title ahead of arrival Tottenham Hotspur, The Chelsea Boss, Antonio Conte said they will win the trophy.
West Ham defeating Tottenham last Friday meant well for the Blue as they need six points from their four matches fixtures to be confirmed as champions for 2017 season.
Chelsea matches with Middlesbrough on Monday and West Brom on Friday may seal the trophy before Spurs play Manchester United on Sunday.
The 47 years old Conte’s said “In this season, if Chelsea had not performed in this way, Tottenham would win the title without difficulty,”
“Only this great season the Blue is pushing them to fight and, maybe, to win or not to win the title.
“I think that Tottenham have an advantage, if you compare Tottenham to Chelsea.
“Tottenham last season fought to win the title and Chelsea finished 10th. You can see our transfer market and Tottenham’s transfer market.
“This is my first season and I found a lot of situations, a lot of players. [Mauricio] Pochettino has been working there for three years and has changed a lot of players and is working very well.
The Italian footballer and coach said,“For me, Tottenham are a really strong team and it’s normal to see them fighting for the title.”
Chelsea defeating 3-0 victory over Everton at Goodison Park, he said he needed “not words but only great hugs”
He praised the “great patience” of his players after three second-half goals saw them take another step towards the Premier League title with an emphatic victory.
“I must be pleased with the performance,” Conte said. “It wasn’t easy to play against a really strong team and a really good manager that prepared the game really well with good tactical organisation. My players showed great patience to wait for the right moment to hit.
“For us it was very important to keep the clean sheet after 13 games. This is very important for our confidence for the final part of the season. We know Everton won eight games in a row at Goodison Park so it’s a good win for us.”
Conte did not speak to his players after the match and explained: “After the game the message was not words but only great hugs, great enthusiasm and great passion.
“It’s important to win and also have great enthusiasm to reach your target. We must think this season could go from good to fantastic, and this is very important.”
