Aliko Dangote, Africa’s wealthiest man, has said that he is anticipating purchasing London-based Arsenal Football Club inside the following four years.

He told Bloomberg Television that he has not abandoned the arrangements to purchase the football club after he was rebuked by its owners in 2010.

He had before reported his aim to purchase the club a year ago.

He said he needs to sit tight for his business prospects to enhance and his interests in gas pipelines and an oil refinery to play out before making the acquisition.

“There’s probably” he’ll purchase Arsenal and “it’s not an issue” of cash, Bloomberg reported.

“Perhaps in three to four years. The issue is that we have all the more difficult headwinds. I have to get those out the way first and begin having tailwinds. At that point I’ll concentrate on this,” Dangote included.

An obtaining of the club would make him the first African businessman to own a club in England’s Premier League.

“It’s not about purchasing Arsenal and only proceeding with the same old thing. It’s about purchasing Arsenal and turning it around. I’ve maintained an extremely effective business and I think I can likewise run an exceptionally fruitful football club,” Dangote said.
