National Youth Service Corps  is set to establish skills acquisition centre in each of the six geo-political zones of the country.

NYSC  wIll collaborate with Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Bank of Industry (BoI) and Heritage Bank to ensure the project is successful.

Brigadier-General Suleman Kazaure, the DG made the statement to newsmen at the NYSC Yobe batch A corps members who were camped in Jigawa.

The DG said that the skill acquisition centres would be in six geopolitical zones in Nigeria  in the short run but in the near future, every state in Nigeria would have its centre.

Brigadier-General Suleman Kazaure also went further inform the news men  that when completed, every centre would be headed by an officer not below Grade Level 17 in the service.

Meanwhile, Kazaure advised corps members to respect the
culture of their host communities and not to indulge in anything that would tarnish the image of NYSC.

The Director-General enjoined  corp Members to strive towards becoming self-employed and even employers, especially by taking advantage of opportunities provided through the NYSC Skills Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development (SAED) programme

Suleman KAzaure to the Corp Members that they could get start-off funds through the NYSC/BOI Graduate Empowerment Fund as well as the CBN/NYSC/Heritage Bank Youth Empowerment Scheme.he warned corp members against engagement in illicit drug trafficking and other social and economic vices that will not add value to them as good citizen of the country,that they should be of good behaviour and embassador to the Nation.
